Wow–it is seriously amazing to me that I used to be able to churn out reviews this size pretty consistently without batting a lash but now, with my busy schedule being what it is (coupled with my general lack of sleep…but that’s nothing new), it took me almost 2 weeks just to finish one! I had to break up the picture-taking and editing into chunks–an hour here, 20 minutes there–before it was finally completed. And just in time too–this sweet 6-piece set from IT Cosmetics is one to definitely check out, and it’s making its debut on QVC, July 13th! (see, told you I posted this just in the nick of time! Phew! :P)
This set, dubbed the “Your Most Beautiful You 6-Piece Collection”, comes with all of IT Cosmetics’ bestsellers (plus some new releases), including the Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Crème Illuminator, the new Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Lip Gloss Stain, Bye Bye Undereye Full Coverage Waterproof Concealer, Your Brows But Better Brow Power Skinny Pencil, Dual Heavenly Luxe Airbrush Foundation & Concealer Brush, and Luxe Pointed Airbrush Complexion Brush.
The Hello Light cream illuminator is an incredibly light cream-to-powder formula (though it doesn’t have that inherently powdery finish like most cream-to-powder formulas do–a fact which I appreciate very much, considering I’m not much of a cream-to-powder fan myself). The cream dries to a very…nothing-like feel, if that makes any sense; it’s virtually weightless and undetectable on the skin!
The illuminator is a pretty golden-champagne hue. As for the shimmer…it has to be seen to be believed–it’s gorgeous! Literally, it is so fine and even that it does not look like shimmer on the skin at all. It just creates light, pure and simple. This is how an illuminator should look!
The Vitality Lip Gloss Stain comes in the shade Je Ne Sais Quoi and is a variation of IT’s popular Lip Flushes (which I’ve reviewed here), but in gloss form. The formula is everything you’d hope/expect it to be: smooth, not too thin and not too thick, non-sticky, super-hydrating, and without offensive taste/scent.
Unlike the Lip Flush, however, the pale, translucent-pink Gloss Stain transforms into a brightened, cool-toned pink almost immediately upon contact with your skin/lips. But like its Lip Flush counterpart, it does indeed stain the lips quite well, with the stain lasting all day, easily.

Now on to the Bye Bye Undereye. I don’t think I need to go into too much detail about this one–it’s very popular for a reason; they weren’t kidding when they called this a full-coverage concealer! I had never tried a full-coverage concealer formula before. Honestly, I was a bit scared–when I hear “full-coverage”, I think “cakey” or even “fake”. But when I first tested out this formula, I was pleasantly surprised that although the formula is as thick as one would expect from a heavy-duty, waterproof concealer, it was surprisingly light and blended beautifully into the skin!
And when they say waterproof, they mean waterproof; Bye Bye Undereye will not budge! I jumped into the shower wearing it in shade Neutral Medium (you can also choose from Light, Tan, or Deep) and came out with my concealer looking just as pristine as before. This stuff is no joke! The brand managed all of this without having the concealer look cakey or accentuate dryness/skin texture around the eyes (unlike Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer).
Next comes the Your Brows But Better Brow Power Skinny Pencil. This pencil only comes in 1 shade–a soft, very cool brown with slight grey tones. It’s supposedly a universal, one-size-fits-all kind of shade but can be customized to your perfect color match by adjusting the pressure you use when applying it. IT recommends to “apply lighter, softer strokes to match lighter color hair including blond and silver” and “press harder for darker hair including medium brown to black.”
The pencil is hard but glides across the skin easily and is actually quite pigmented. The texture is really perfect for customizing the color according to pressure, like IT recommends. I was a bit skeptical that one shade could truly suit all but I actually quite like how the color looks on my skin. It might be a bit more brown than I’m used to but luckily, since it’s summer and my hair is currently pretty light, it suits me nicely. However, during the fall and winter, I would probably switch back to something with a bit more grey in it. I do think overall though that this color will suit the majority of people.
Lastly, we have the brushes. They are very well made and feature a nice, matte black rubberized handle for easy gripping. The Dual Heavenly Luxe Airbrush Foundation & Concealer Brush is, obviously, dual-ended and makes for a very convenient application tool (though a bit of a pain to store in the usual brush holders/cups). But the hairs are so dense and soft and hold their shape very well (I’ve washed each brush twice, now). All of IT’s brushes are 100% cruelty-free.
On IT’s site, this brush is also called the Dual Powder & Micro-Powder Brush. They suggest using the larger end to powder larger areas and the smaller end to powder smaller areas like the sides of the nose, in between the eyes, etc. Because the brush is so dense, I do think it would lend itself well to mineral or pressed powder foundation application. But I prefer to use the brush to apply my liquid and cream base products. I have been using the large end to buff in my liquid foundation and the smaller end to blend out the Bye Bye Undereye (this is hands down my favorite new brush. Makes my concealer look AMAZING!). This combination leaves me with the most flawless finish ever!

As for the Luxe Pointed Airbrush Complexion Brush, I was a little confused as to how I would use it at first. But in the booklet that comes with the set, they recommend to use it with the Hello Light Illuminizer, using the small precision tip to perfectly highlight every area, from the brow bone to cupid’s bow to inner eyes. To highlight larger areas, simply lay the brush head flat against the skin–the brush is perfectly tapered to do so.

All in all, I would say this set is a definite, definite must-have for anyone–from IT newbies to the most devoted fans. There is everything you need in here to create a flawless, naturally glowing look; the set really does bring out the best you, possible, without making it look like you’ve caked on the makeup to get the look! And at only $59 a pop, it’s seriously a steal-of-a-deal. But be sure to check out IT’s special on QVC at midnight ((July 13th at 12AM PST) for a very special sale!!!
