*Side note: going back over this post, I realized that I forgot to credit the above photo! I am so sorry about that! I was trying to search the photo, but I can’t find it anymore and I can’t remember where I got it from :/ So sorry guys
…with Clé de Peau Beauté’s Luminizing Face Enhancer, new from their Spring 2012 collection. Look at that and just try to tell me that it’s not the most beautiful thing in the world. Am I right? I have been completely obsessing over this compact, but I didn’t want to make any decisions before finding a swatch online (don’t you just love beauty blogs?!). As luck would have it, Charleston Girl at Best Things in Beauty posted some swatches of the Pastel color a few days later (you can see them here), and I just about died! Isn’t it gorgeous! It really looks like her skin is just glowing and lit from within-but you aren’t able to discern that it’s coming from a powder, it’s so fine that it just looks like natural and radiant skin. The Face Enhancer powder also comes in gold (as seen above), which was the color that I was most interested-that is, until I saw Charleston Girl’s swatches. Now, I’m seriously considering the Pastel one too. I usually always go for the color that will compliment my warm undertones best but in the case of this powder, I truly feel that it’s so finely-milled and natural looking that those with warmer tones could definitely pull of the Pastel compact and vice-versa with the Gold compact.
But, products this exquisite unfortunately don’t come cheap. This compact powder is $95 (!!!) but the good news is, you can purchase the refill (without the pretty compact) for $55. Still pricey but at least you’ll have comfort knowing that if you really don’t want to pay for packaging, you don’t have to with this product.

So, what do you think of this highlighting powder? Do you see it as an investment into a stunning highlighter so you won’t have to bother with inferior products-or is it a huge ripoff?
