Well folks, we’ve reached the last 2 products from Jurlique’s Most Wanted Kit: the Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer and the Rose Hand Cream. Let’s get started!
The Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer is a great, hardworking product that’s perfect for throwing into your purse/makeup bag and toting around-especially during cold and flu season. What’s great about this hand sanitizer is that it really is moisturizing. The scent isn’t too strong at all and smells very natural and herbal-y…like mint and witch hazel. It does not contain triclosan-but does contain many beneficial elements like lavender, peppermint, sage, and calendula. There’s not too much else I can say about this product…I mean, it’s a hand sanitizer. But, it is the best hand sanitizer that I have ever used-so there’s that. It’s non-drying, moisturizing, doesn’t irritate my nose or skin, is natural, and gets the job done. What more could you ask for? This 1.7 oz. bottle retails for $6.50 individually.
Lastly, we have the Rose Hand Cream. Obviously as the name infers, this is a rose-scented hand cream. But when I say rose, I mean rose. Take the Rosewater Balancing Mist and times it by about 25 and you’ll get the scent of the hand cream. This bad boy is pretty darn potent! Again, like I mentioned with the Rosewater Balancing Mist, the scent is lovely-just a little too strong for my taste. That is the main problem I have with Jurlique products: they feel heavenly on the skin and would smell heavenly too, if only they toned it down a notch or two. Plus, the fragrance in the hand cream lingers a helluva lot longer than the mist or gel. It’s pretty much a perfume in cream form-so this hand cream is not for the weak of heart (or in this case, nose).
The cream itself, however, is quite luxurious. It instantly smoothes and softens my hands no matter how nasty and cracked they are from the cold weather. A dollop less than the size of a pea is all you need for baby-soft hands. Seriously, my hands felt sooo velvety! And I will say that after consistently using this product, my nose did adapt to the fragrance. It’s just a little overwhelming at first-especially since the creams and lotions I usually use are unscented or lightly scented. Something I didn’t like about this product was the packaging. Well I liked the packaging itself (a metal tube like toothpaste), but the problem is if you dent the the tube while it still has a lot of product in it, every time you open the cap the cream will start to ooze out and won’t stop until you close it again. Every time that happened I would end up having to use about a quarter sized product that had oozed out when all you really need is a pea-size.
